Professional Packing Services in Orem, Utah

Packing is the part of moving that people underestimate the most. It takes longer than you think, uses more materials than you'd guess, and the way things are packed directly determines whether they survive the trip. Our packing crews do this every day — your entire kitchen in under an hour, your china collection without a chip.

Full Packing vs. Partial Packing — Your Call

Full packing means we handle everything. You don't touch a box. Our crew arrives the day before your move (or the morning of, for smaller homes) and packs the entire house, room by room. Closets, drawers, shelves, pantry — all of it boxed, wrapped, labeled, and ready to load.

Partial packing is for people who want to handle the easy stuff (clothes, linens, books) and leave the nerve-wracking items to us — the kitchen, the garage, the home office with three monitors and tangled cables. Either way, we bring all the materials. You're not making a midnight run to Home Depot for more bubble wrap.

How We Pack a Kitchen (Without Breaking Everything)

Kitchens have more breakable items per square foot than any other room. Our packers use cell-box dividers for glasses and stemware, layered packing paper for plates (never newspaper — the ink transfers), and double-walled boxes for heavy items like cast iron and small appliances.

Every dish gets individually wrapped. Bowls are nested with paper between each layer. Knives go into blade guards or rolled paper sheaths. Fragile countertop items (stand mixers, coffee makers, blenders) are wrapped in padded material and placed in boxes with crumpled paper fill to prevent shifting. A typical kitchen takes our two-person packing team 45–90 minutes.

Materials We Bring and Packing Timelines

We supply everything: standard and wardrobe moving boxes, heavy-duty tape, packing paper, bubble wrap, foam pouches, mattress bags, shrink wrap, and markers. You don't need to buy or source anything.

Timeline by home size: a one-bedroom apartment usually takes 1–2 hours to pack. A three-bedroom house runs 3–5 hours. A large four-to-five-bedroom home with a basement and garage can take a full day or require a two-person team for two half-days. We'll estimate the packing time during your walkthrough so there are no surprises.

Packing Services FAQ

Do I need to be home while your crew packs?

You don't need to hover, but we recommend being available — especially at the start so you can point out anything fragile, valuable, or that shouldn't be packed (medications, documents you need, kids' overnight bags). After that initial walkthrough, feel free to step out. Your crew leader will call you with any questions.

What happens with items that are already packed?

If you've packed some boxes yourself, we'll load them as-is. Just make sure they're sealed, labeled with the destination room, and not too heavy to lift safely (50 lbs max per box is the rule of thumb). If we notice a box that feels fragile or poorly packed, we'll let you know and can repack it on the spot.

Can I provide my own boxes and just hire you for packing labor?

Absolutely. If you've already sourced boxes (grocery stores, Buy Nothing groups, your last move), we'll use what you have and supplement with our materials where needed. We recommend using uniform-size boxes when possible — they stack better in the truck and reduce shifting during transport.
