Labor-Only Moving Help in Orem, Utah

You've got the truck — or the pod, or the container. What you need is a crew that knows how to load it right. Our labor-only service gives you access to the same trained, permanent movers who handle our full-service moves, except you're in the driver's seat (literally, in some cases).

How Labor-Only Works With Your Truck or Container

You rent the vehicle or container from whoever you want — U-Haul, Penske, Budget, PODS, ABF U-Pack, 1-800-PACK-RAT, a friend's pickup truck, whatever. You schedule a time window, and our crew shows up to load, unload, or both.

For PODS and container services that sit in your driveway, we come out and load the container using the same careful padding and stacking methods we use on our own trucks. The container company picks it up and delivers it. When it arrives at your new address, we come back and unload. Same crew if the timing works out.

Why This Makes Financial Sense

A U-Haul truck from Orem to Denver might run $600–$900 depending on the season. Our labor-only crew for loading and unloading runs a fraction of what a full-service move would cost. You're saving on the transportation markup while still getting professional muscle for the heavy lifting — the part that actually causes injuries, damage, and arguments with friends.

PODS and U-Pack are especially popular with customers who need flexibility. You load on your schedule (with our help), the container ships when you're ready, and we unload at the other end. It's the best of both worlds: professional handling without the full-service price tag.

What Our Crew Handles (and What They Don't)

Our labor-only crews handle furniture disassembly, wrapping, padding, loading, stacking, strapping, unloading, reassembly, and placement in your new home. They bring all necessary equipment — dollies, straps, pads, tools.

What they don't do: drive your rental truck (insurance reasons), pack loose household items into boxes (that's our packing service), or make multiple trips between addresses with your vehicle. If you need packing, we can add that as a separate service. If you need transport, that's our full-service option.

Labor Only FAQ

How long does it take to load a PODS container?

A 12-foot PODS container (roughly equivalent to a one-bedroom apartment) takes a two-person crew about 1.5–2 hours. A 16-foot container (two-to-three bedrooms) runs 2.5–3.5 hours. Time varies based on how much furniture needs disassembly, how far the container is from your front door, and whether you've pre-packed loose items.

Can I rent a truck and have your crew load it at one address and unload at another?

Yes — this is one of our most popular labor-only setups. You schedule us for two windows: loading at the origin and unloading at the destination. You (or someone you trust) drives the truck between locations. We charge separately for each window based on the crew time required.

Do your labor-only crews bring furniture pads and equipment?

Yes. Every labor-only crew arrives with quilted furniture pads, shrink wrap, basic tools for disassembly/reassembly, a dolly, and moving straps. You don't need to supply anything — just have the truck or container in place and accessible when the crew arrives.
